Upright Noble Zen

Upright Noble Zen meets each Sunday from 5 to 6:30pm at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.  The church is located at 2824 E. 18th Ave., Anchorage, 99508 and we meet downstairs.  Enter through the back door and follow the green arrows.

Our program consists of two 25 minute periods of seated meditation and a talk exploring some aspect of Zen Buddhism.  Cushions and chairs are available for you to sit on, and some instruction will be given if you are not familiar with meditation.  Zen practice is compatible with any religious tradition.

Dana Kojun Lederhos grew up in Anchorage and returned recently after completing a 14-year course of training at Great Vow Zen Monastery in Oregon.  She is a Soto Zen lineage holder and a member of both the Soto Zen Buddhist Association and the White Plum Asanga.  All group meetings, classes, and other events are led by her.

Newcomers are always welcome.  Come sit with us!
